SADLERS PARK SITE MANAGER NAMED IN HOUSE BUILDING OSCARS
Countryside Properties' Sadlers Park site manager, Kevin Ward has been named best regional site manager in the NHBC's Pride in the Job Awards.
Winning the multi-storey builder category in the West region, Kevin will now go through to the grand final in January 2008.
Kevin, who lives in Cannock, is currently overseeing the construction of 120 apartments at Sadlers Park, He was praised for his skills in motivating his team and organising the trades and materials on site to an exact standard.
A gruelling qualifying process has seen Kevin go through several stages to reach this point, having previously being named one of 12 'Seal of Excellence' winners in the West and one of the top 100 site managers in the UK.
Kevin takes his place alongside two other winners from the large builder category and small to medium builder category to represent the West region in the national competition.
Now in its 27th year, Pride in the Job is the only national competition to focus on the site manager's role in producing high quality new homes. Judging takes place all year round and scores are given across 38 different areas of site management, including technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and leadership and organisational skills.
Peter Watton, NHBC's Regional Director for West and Wales, said: "Pride in the Job is the highest accolade a site manager can achieve. Only those who demonstrate exceptional levels of professionalism in every aspect of their work on site, from their organisation of the site, to the quality controls they have in place will be considered for an award.
"The site managers who have made it this far in the competition have shown extraordinary dedication in their roles, ensuring each aspect of the build process is executed with precision and thought. As well as creating beautifully finished homes that are a pleasure to live in, they are testament to the high standards that can be achieved. Congratulations to all the award winners."
